Enseignant à l’Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) et l’École supérieure des affaires (ESA) de Beyrouth en Économie et finance du monde arabe. Chercheur en Histoire de la finance à Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne au sein de l’IDHES. Il est consultant en finance et titulaire d’une maîtrise en Économie et d’une maîtrise d’Histoire contemporaine de l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, diplômé de Sciences Po.
Penser la Syrie, plus d’un an après la chute du régime Assad, suppose d’observer comment les lignes de fracture accumulées depuis le Printemps arabe (2011) ont finalement cédé à un délitement inquiétant pour l’avenir du pays et pour sa capacité à maintenir son intégrité territoriale.

Islamist parties, excluded from the political sphere for much of the last decade, are now coming to the forefront of Arab politics. The electoral victories of Ennahda in Tunisia and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt suggest that the future of Arab politics will be dominated by decision-makers with faith-based political agendas. But the part that religion should play in the new political orders of Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, and how its involvement might be haped in law and practice, remains the subject of controversy and debate.
